Bright golden amber — clear and warm, with notable depth.
Aroma
Soft and inviting at first: vanilla, caramel and a hint of toffee rise from the glass. With some air, subtle notes of toasted oak emerge, along with gentle spice (cinnamon, a touch of black pepper) and a faint, honey-like floral sweetness. The charcoal mellowing leaves a barely perceptible, clean smokiness in the background — not peaty, more like the scent of a campfire that has just gone out.
Palate
Full-bodied, with a buttery, slightly oily texture. The entry is gentle and sweet — caramel and brown sugar. Mid-palate, warming spices develop: cinnamon bark, a hint of nutmeg, dried orange peel. The single-barrel nature adds a distinctive, individual character — you can almost taste the four summers and winters this whiskey spent in Tennessee.
Finish
Medium to long, with soft spice and a lasting touch of toasted oak and dark caramel. The charcoal mellowing leaves the palate clean — no burn, no harshness. The final impression is a discreet vanilla sweetness.
Overall Impression
A whiskey for those who appreciate the spirit in its pure, unflavoured form. Best enjoyed neat at room temperature or with a few drops of water to open up the profile. As a cocktail base, it works beautifully in classics like a Mint Julep or a Boulevardier — drinks that showcase the Tennessee character without overpowering it.

For our "Eigneredition I“ (Owner’s Edition I), we stowed a single barrel of Tennessee Whiskey in the bilge on July 12, 2019 and emptied it four years later on September 14, 2023. Limited to just 400 bottles, it is a true rarity.
Due to the large temperature fluctuations in Tennessee, our whiskey matures faster than in northern climes. It is therefore already an exclusive pleasure after just four years.
Maximum 6 bottles per customer. Orders beyond this will be canceled.

Schnelle Lieferung, tolles Flaschendesign und Mega lecker!
Mir ist er ein bisschen zu sehr aromatisiert. Den Grünen kann ich nicht bewerten, weil der verschenkt wurde, Der blaue wird aber nicht mein Manöverschluck, sprich den würde ich nicht nochmal kaufen. Aber es gibt ja noch andere Sorten.
wir haben den Manöverschluck einem Segelkumpel zum Geburtstag geschenkt und gleich alle einen kräftigen Schluck genommen - war sehr gut und ist ein perfektes Geschenk - werde gleich wieder was bestellen. Nach dem Törn ist ja immer vor dem Törn! immer eine Handbreit Wasser unter dem Kiel und liebe Grüße aus Wien Alex
Bei unserem diesjährigen Clubtörn im Juni habe ich die Crew der Quantum mit einem Backbord und Steuerbord Manöverschluck überrascht und ALLE waren sehr, sehr angetan :-)

We love to sail ourselves. David preferably on the Baltic Sea and Jens in the Mediterranean. During a joint sailing trip, we came up with the idea for a new favorite drink. This became JJs Manöverschluck.

Our bottles come in a striking maritime design. The colors of buoys and navigational beacons are applied to the bottles in a special process and the wooden corks are reminiscent of the many beautiful wooden boats. We received the world-renowned iF Design Award for our design.
